There is a second hand copy on UK amazon at 1/2 price (maybe you can get lucky in your region).Neither of the following books are perfect but have a look at their reviews I don't gel with the structure of the Packt books. If you must have a book then personal opinion (take with a pinch of salt as others will have their own preferences) as follows Or have a look at Amazon for second hand copies. Rather than spend hard earned cash on an out-of-date book, I'd suggest saving up an extra bit and getting something more advanced. They are well written, but I think you'll exhaust these books very quickly and much of what you would learn from a PowerShell perspective might well have changed even since v2. Given that you have coding experience with Python I'm not sure that the Month of Lunches books will provide much in the way of value. What is your background with regards to coding? Are you learning from scratch or have you used other scripting languages? Are you a sysadmin? This might help others suggest appropriate material for you. The concepts of coding haven't really changed but PowerShell today is in a very different place to PowerShell 10 years ago. How about the e-book?
